Ponder the nature of the 'game' when yesterdays' victim becomes tomorrows' villain. The university ragging demands a lot more than the mere threat of expulsion or police brutality on todays perpetrators...
And when the victims get their 'turn' tomorrow, they can be worse than the previous lot. Who's going to cast the 'first stone'?

i have never experienced ragging in sri lankan universities first hand since i have never studied in one.so, i may be a bit off target.
Its a very valid point you make, many a time as in this case, its the obviousness of the situation (when taken for granted) is what makes it hard to extract from the others.Hence the validity..
What you say is very obvious, yet blatantly disregarded.
In Sri Lankan universities, one reason this phenomenon cant be uprooted is because,relevant authorities were bred in the system itself..hence consider it normal and usual.
